The hot case works differently from the sub board. Most of it is sold by the piece, which means you are not stuck choosing between a portion that is not quite enough and one you cannot finish. You build what you actually want.
Wings
Four flavors — Buffalo, B.B.Q., Ranch and Honey Mustard — and three sizes:
- 5 wings — $7.99
- 10 wings — $13.99
- 20 wings — $25.99
The twenty is comfortably the best value per wing, which is presumably why it rarely leaves the building with only one person attached to it.
Chicken, one piece at a time
If you would rather assemble your own plate:
- Wing — $2.29
- Drumstick — $2.29
- Thigh — $2.89
- Breast — $3.79
- Tender — $2.49
- Three tenders — $6.50
Buying tenders in a three saves you about twenty cents over buying them singly, and three happens to be the right number to sit next to a side without crowding it.
The dogs, and the meatball
Two hot dogs on the board: a turkey dog at $1.49 and Nathan's 100% beef at $1.99. Between them they are the cheapest hot thing in the store, and there is no shame in that being the entire order.
If you want something with more to it, the meatball 12" sub is $9.99, or there is the meatball platter at $11.99, which arrives with spaghetti and is not a small plate.
What goes beside it
Fries are $2.50 small, $3.50 large. Macaroni salad is $3.99. Coleslaw and potato salad are $2.99 each, and the coleslaw earns its place next to Buffalo wings more than anything else in the case.
There is also a Jamaican beef patty at $2.99 if you want something you can eat on the walk back to the car.
